Garwood International are designers and manufacturers of refuse (waste) compactors (mobile and stationery) for the waste industry. The company is located in Wetherill Park, a suburb of Sydney, Australia.
The company directors are Mr Les J McHugh and Mr Daniel McHugh and special projects are overseen by Mr Peter Vanheiden.
In 1986, David Horrocks (since retired) set up the Company Garwood Equipment Services, to manufacture refuse (waste) compactors. the company commenced operations in a factory in the Sydney suburb of St Marys.
Garwood International was founded in 1993, “International” was used to reflect the direction of the Garwood Group to encompass the manufacturing arm - McHugh Engineering Pty Ltd.
The new corporate colours are based on the blue of Garwood Equipment and the Australian national colours of green and gold - to illustrate the export orientation of the new entity.
